NMD on 14th November:
The National Metallurgists’ Day celebrations will, as usual, honour distinguished metallurgists of India for their outstanding contributions in the field of metallurgical education, research and industry.

The awards by the Ministry of Steel, Government of India include:

• Lifetime Achievement

• National Metallurgist

• Metallurgist of the Year

• Young Metallurgist of the Year

The Indian Institute of Metals medals and prizes as selected by the Council on the recommendations of the Awards Committee will also be presented in a glittering ceremony that is being organised to mark the occasion.

Memorial Lectures:
There will be two memorial lectures on 14th November in the afternoon. Speakers to deliver these lectures are being identified by the Organisers.

Special lectures by some of the award winners will be delivered after the Memorial Lectures.
