  :: Guidelines for Oral Presentation of ATM Papers ::

For presentation of all ATM papers, the speakers are requested to follow the following so as to adhere to the tight time schedule without sacrificing the benefit to all the delegates of listening to the paper.

  • Present only the highlights of the work actually done.
  • Ensure legibility of the drawings, labels, graphs and axis headings in all slides.
  • It will be for the authors to ensure that their presentation is visible to the entire audience.
  • Use a heading or a sub-heading on each new slide.
  • Use of more than 3 compatible colours on any slide is not recommended.
  • Use a suitable background colour for the slides and a contrasting font (easily done in Power Point).
  • Use a minimum font size of 24; acceptable fonts are: ARIEL, TIMES NEW ROMAN and TAHOMA.
  • Do not photocopy or transpose text material verbatim on any slide.
  • Do not exceed 8 lines per slide.
  • Only 8 minutes will be allowed for each presentation; it would be preferable to limit to a maximum of 4 slides.
  • All presentations in any particular session will be followed by a 15/20 minute Q&A session for all the 4/6 papers together.

All the usual facilities like LCD projector, Laptop/Desktop, Laser pointer, etc. will be available at all the venues. The author presenting the paper must bring the soft copy of the material to be presented in a CD/memory stick in MS Power Point format and ensure that the same is loaded on the computer before the
