A special initiative is being taken to encourage students to participate actively in the NMD-ATM 2006 celebrations at Jamshedpur. For this purpose, third year students of metallurgy and materials science will be treated as "special" guests by the Organisers.

The following engineering colleges are requested to nominate five students who will be provided free travel, registration, boarding and lodging during NMD-ATM 2006:

NIT, Jamshedpur	Jadavpur University, Kolkata
IIT, Kanpur	BIT, Sindri
IIT, Madras	NIT, Rourkela
IIT, Bombay	IT-BHU, Varanasi

The Heads of these Metallurgy/Materials Science Departments will also be treated as guests for NMD-ATM 2006. One student from each college (to be selected by the HOD) will make a 8 minute presentation (max. three slides) on any aspect of metallurgy just before the Concluding Session at the Tata Auditorium on 16th November.

All the names of the participants and the subjects of their talks should be forwarded before 1^st October to:
