The Institute brings out two monthly publications :
- The IIM Transactions in which seminal research work is published and disseminated worldwide and indexed in all relevant international abstracting journals
- IIM Metal News publishes articles and news of industry, feature articles on metallurgical process information and updates, chapter activities, IIM events and news.

Technical Library at IIM
The Institute had a well-stocked physical library @ IIM head office at “Metal House” Kolkata, which has been switched to digital platform and is ‘LIVE’ for its Members.
